Launched in January 2021, Lumiso Pooltest photometers are based on Palintest's technology using the DPD colometric standard. Compared to previous Pooltest photometers, the Lumiso Pooltest photometers have many new and improved features. The results of up to 50 tests are stored in the device's memory.
The photometer measures the amount of light passing sequentially through a water sample coloured with a suitable tablet and then through an optical filter. The amount of light passing through is measured by the measuring module and compared with the raw water sample used for the photometer's zero calibration. The darker the colour of the sample, the less light will pass through it. For example, when measuring chlorine, the water sample is coloured pink with an intensity proportional to the chlorine content of the water (the higher the chlorine concentration, the darker the pink colour).
• When connected to a PC via USB, data management is possible. In addition, the photometer software can be updated remotely without having to send it to Palintest's service department.
• The large display increases the amount of information shown and makes taking measurements much easier.
• With two chlorine measurement ranges of 0 - 5 mg/l and 0 - 10 mg/l, Lumiso enables chlorine to be measured over the full range eliminating the need to dilute the water sample or use two instruments, as with the previous generation of Pooltest photometers).
