Using polystyrene blocks for swimming pools saves a lot of time and money, because there is no need for expensive shuttering, plastering or insulation.
The polystyrene used in the construction of swimming pool blocks doesn't dissolve in water, doesn't absorb it, and doesn't swell under its influence. It is also resistant to acids, alkalis and salt solutions. What's more, it is biologically resistant to mould, fungi and bacteria. All these factors make polystyrene the ideal material for pool construction. Under certain conditions, it is possible to fill the blocks with concrete using a pump in pools up to 200 cm deep.
